1. Who We Are
Friendlies: Scrimmage Finder is a free community platform for amateur soccer teams in Southern California, operated as a personal hobby project based in California.
2. What Information We Collect
When you use Friendlies, we collect:
Information you provide directly:
- Your email address (required to create an account)
- Team information you choose to include in a listing: team name, club name, age group, gender, level, region, and availability
- Contact details you choose to share on a listing: phone number, email address, and social media handle
- Team profile information if you choose to create one
- Feedback you submit through the feedback form
Information collected automatically:
- Whether you were logged in when you clicked the Contact Team button on a listing (recorded as a boolean, we do not track which user clicked)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Display your listing to other logged-in coaches looking for scrimmages
- Match your team profile against new listings for the weekly digest (if you opt in)
- Send you the weekly scrimmage digest email (if you opt in)
- Allow the site administrator to moderate listings and manage the platform
4. Who Can See Your Contact Information
Contact details you include on a listing (phone, email, social media) are visible only to logged-in users. Visitors who are not logged in can see general listing information (team name, age group, region, date) but cannot see any contact details.
5. Weekly Digest Email
If you opt your team profile into the weekly digest, we will send you a weekly email summarizing Open listings that match your team's profile. You can opt out at any time by visiting your team profile settings at mynextscrimmage.com/account/teams.
6. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
7. Third-Party Services
Friendlies uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase, database and authentication (supabase.com)
- Resend, email delivery (resend.com)
- Lovable, hosting and infrastructure (lovable.dev)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
8. Data Retention
Your account and listing data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, email us at info@mynextscrimmage.com and we will process your request within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Friendlies is intended for use by adults (coaches, parents, administrators) on behalf of youth teams. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
10. California Privacy Rights
As a California-based service, we comply with applicable California privacy laws. California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information by contacting us at info@mynextscrimmage.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised date.
